Junkie

To kick of my new ever-so eloquently written blog I couldn't think of a better word to title this than junkie...by Urban Dictionary's terms the word junkie means, "A person who is consumed by an addiction. Aspects of their life suffer as he/she satisifies the addiction." I feel this defines how I feel about music. Honestly, I may not be most knowledgeable person on music, I may not always be up-to-par on the hippest, latest,  newest thing out there, but I do have a passion for music...especially live music and I hope to be able to give you some good feedback on music through my eyes and ears. Over the past several years I have had the distinct pleasure to get to see timeless artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Bon Jovi, George Straight, Willie Nelson, CCR, DMB, Garth Brooks and Stevie Wonder to name a few. Some of the more current artists I have ventured to see include Mumford and Sons, MGMT, Avett Brothers, Bassnectar, Girl Talk, David Gray, She and Him, Michael Franti, Justin Timberlake, Zac Brown Band, Smashing Pumpkins, Ben Harper, Widespread Panic, Needtobreathe, O.A.R., Brad Paisley, Citizen Cope, Brett Dennen, John Butler Trio, Umphrey's McGee and the list goes on and on. Upcoming events that I fully intend to blog about are Fleet Foxes, Flaming Lips, Paul Simon, Lady Gaga, Bonnaroo 2011, Dayglow and Rites of Spring.
